New delhi: A preliminary investigation report released Saturday indicated that the fuel control switches for the engines of the Air India plane that crashed last month were switched from the “on” position to the “off” position moments before the crash, cutting off fuel to both engines.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the report, issued by India’s Air Accident Investigation Bureau, indicated that the pilots were confused about the switches’ position, which caused the engines to lose thrust shortly after takeoff.
