Shenzhen: The Lebanese women’s basketball team lost to its Japanese counterpart by four points (68-72) in the match held between them this morning in Group Two of the Asian Championship for Level “A”, which is hosted by China in the city of Shenzhen until July 20.

The Lebanese players participated in a tough match during the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2025, against a team ranked ninth in the world according to FIBA rankings. The match’s top scorer was Lebanese Rebecca Akl, who scored 27 points, while her teammate Qamar Mansour and Japan’s Minami Yabu each scored 19 points.
