Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, received a phone call Saturday from King Felipe VI of Spain, during which the Spanish Monarch affirmed his country's support for Lebanon during these difficult times, expressing the solidarity of the Spanish people with their friendly Lebanese people.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun thanked King Felipe VI for his stance, appreciating the role played by the Spanish contingent serving with UNIFIL, their steadfastness in their deployment areas in southern Lebanon, and their contribution to ensuring security and stability for the region's residents.

In the same context, President Aoun also received a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron as part of the ongoing consultations between the two presidents to monitor developments and discuss efforts to halt the military escalation.
