Beirut: President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun chaired a meeting attended by the Head of the Higher Customs Council, Brigadier General Misbah Khalil, and Council members Charbel Khalil and Louay El Hajj Chahine. The meeting focused on the work of the Customs Administration and the measures being taken to enhance performance at the country's land, sea, and air border crossings. It also addressed the provision of modern equipment to facilitate the work of the Customs enforcement authority.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun instructed that coordination among all customs units be strengthened. He emphasized the importance of maintaining permanent operational readiness to support ongoing efforts to curb smuggling and combat waste and revenue losses.
