Beirut: President Joseph Aoun met with a delegation from the Association of Banks in Lebanon (ABL), led by Chairman Salim Sfeir, to discuss pressing national and financial issues. The meeting underscored the Association's support for the President's ongoing efforts to restore national sovereignty and maintain stability.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Sfeir expressed the Association's full support for President Aoun during this critical phase. He emphasized backing the President's national positions aimed at restoring sovereignty, safeguarding national dignity, and preserving stability and security. The delegation reiterated their commitment to supporting national decisions taken by the President and the government, which are crucial for reinforcing state authority and ensuring the enforcement of laws.

Sfeir further highlighted the challenges faced by the banking sector, stressing the importance of collaboration among relevant ministries, the Central Bank of Lebanon, and the Association of Banks. He emphasized the need to address the ongoing banking crisis and work towards restoring order in financial and banking operations.
