President Joseph Aoun Reviews Akkar Region’s Needs with MP Rustom, Discusses National Affairs with Baabda Visitors

Baabda: Baabda Palace witnessed several meetings this morning that addressed political, developmental, legal, and municipal issues.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, held talks with MP Ahmad Rustom on the overall situation in the country, with a particular focus on the needs of the Akkar region, especially with the approaching launch of operations at the Ren© Moawad Airport in Qlayaat. The discussions centered on measures required to support the resumption of operations at the airport, particularly in terms of infrastructure, transportation, and other essential requirements.

The talks also covered political developments, with MP Rustom reaffirming his support for President Aoun's positions and his national and sovereign choices.

President Aoun also received at Baabda Palace former minister Issam Sharafeddine, with discussions touching on an array of national issues.

The President of the Republic also received Odette El Helou, the Regional Representative for the Middle East and North Africa of the Lebanese Association of Victims of Terrorism, who briefed him on the network's work in Lebanon and regional countries, and the role of the Lebanese association.

At Baabda Palace, President Aoun also received Bkassine Municipality head, Joseph Nasr, who briefed him on the activities and projects undertaken by the municipality, in addition to the municipality's future plans to promote local development.
