President Joseph Aoun Reviews Electricity, Fuel Related Issues with Minister Joe Saddi

Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday discussed with Minister of Energy and Water, Joe Saddi, the ongoing discussions with Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and Cyprus regarding electricity interconnection and gas imports, as well as other issues related to the electricity and fuel sectors. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting focused on potential collaborations with neighboring countries to enhance the electricity grid and secure stable gas supplies. The discussions aim to address the pressing energy needs in the region and explore opportunities for regional cooperation in the energy sector. The dialogue with Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and Cyprus is part of a broader strategy to improve energy infrastructure and ensure reliable electricity and fuel supply. The talks also included considerations for potential agreements that could facilitate gas imports and strengthen the electricity interconnection between these nations. Minister Joe Saddi emphasized the importance of the se negotiations in achieving energy security and sustainability.
