Beirut: Qatar's embassy in Damascus denied reports that an Iranian delegation had arrived in Syria under Qatari sponsorship and had been hosted at the embassy, Russia Today reported.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in a statement, the embassy said the claims were "completely false" and unsupported by reliable facts or information, adding that the diplomatic mission had not been used to host any such delegation or meetings.

The embassy emphasized that Qatar's diplomatic activities in Syria were conducted transparently and in coordination with the relevant authorities. These efforts aim to support stability and dialogue without resorting to unofficial arrangements or parallel channels.

Furthermore, the embassy urged media outlets to verify information and rely on documented sources. It warned that circulating unverified reports could harm regional stability and affect relations between states.
