Beirut: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Raggi, on Friday received a phone call from Canada's Foreign Minister Anita Anand, during which they discussed the implications of the Iranian-American agreement for Lebanon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Canadian Minister reaffirmed her country's support for Lebanon and its commitment to continuing assistance during this critical period.
For his part, Minister Raggi emphasized during the call that securing a ceasefire remains the overriding priority, and welcomed any agreement that serves stability, while stressing that "Lebanon remains committed to negotiations through a track of its own, independent of the Iranian-American process, with the aim of reaching a comprehensive solution that safeguards its sovereignty and stability."
