Raggi Receives Phone Call from Canadian Counterpart, as Canada Allocates $40 Million in Humanitarian Aid

Beirut: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Raggi, on Tuesday received a phone call from Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand, during which she reiterated her country's support for Lebanon's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national institutions.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Anand expressed Canada's condemnation of the Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, that have resulted in the deaths of innocent civilians, affirming Canada's support for the Lebanese government's decisions aimed at extending the state's sovereignty across all its territory.

Anand also informed Minister Raggi that Canada has allocated $40 million in humanitarian aid, which will be delivered to Lebanon through international humanitarian organizations.

For his part, Minister Raggi expressed appreciation for Canada's supportive stance, and briefed her on the Lebanese State's position regarding the recent developments in the region.
