CMA CGM Expands Reach with Acquisition of Fattal Group

Beirut: CMA CGM Group and the shareholders of Fattal Group have announced an agreement for the acquisition of 100% of Fattal Group by CMA CGM and its affiliates. The completion of the transaction is contingent on regulatory approvals and is anticipated to occur in the third quarter of 2026.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, this strategic acquisition is viewed as a significant step for CMA CGM in its ambition to become a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions. By integrating Fattal Group's distribution platform, CMA CGM aims to enhance its capabilities and strengthen its presence in the MENA markets. Rodolphe Saad©, Chairman and CEO of CMA CGM Group, expressed confidence in Lebanon and emphasized the company's commitment to supporting the region's long-term development.

Caroline Fattal, Chairwoman of the Fattal Group, stated that after 130 years of stewardship, the Fattal shareholders have decided to entrust the future of the company to CMA CGM. They believe that CMA CGM will continue to build on the success of Fattal Group and remain true to its mission of adding value and ensuring the long-term strength and success of the company, its people, suppliers, and the communities it serves.

CMA CGM Group operates globally in sea, land, air, and logistics solutions and is present in 177 countries, employing 160,000 people. The Group's extensive operations include serving over 420 ports worldwide with a fleet of more than 700 vessels. In 2025, the company transported over 24 million twenty-foot equivalent containers. Additionally, CMA CGM's subsidiary, CEVA Logistics, managed 15 million shipments and operates 1,000 warehouses globally. The Group also boasts a strong presence in the media sector through CMA Media and is committed to achieving Net Zero Carbon by 2050.

The CMA CGM Foundation plays a significant role in providing humanitarian aid and supporting education and equal opportunities. It has transported 120,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid to 106 countries and supported over 630 projects worldwide.
