Beirut: Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rahi on Tuesday received a delegation from the Change Movement led by Elie Mahfoud, discussing current developments.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Mahfoud criticized celebratory gunfire and threats against state officials, warning of rising disorder and stressing the need to uphold state authority and the rule of law. He reaffirmed support for President Joseph Aoun and efforts to restore sovereign decision-making, rejecting external influence and armed pressure.

Rahi later met Bsharri Union head Elie Makhlouf, who outlined local challenges, and Jbeil Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Lakkis, with a Turkish delegation expressing support for Rahi’s national and humanitarian positions.
