Beirut: House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Tuesday called for a joint session of several parliamentary committees on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. to review a series of draft laws and proposals.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the agenda includes a bill to authorize an agreement between Lebanon and Germany to establish local offices for the German Agency for International Cooperation, and another to approve an agreement with the International Monetary Fund to establish a resident representative office in Lebanon.
Discussions will also cover a draft media law and a proposal granting a general amnesty and reducing certain sentences on an exceptional basis.
