Rasamny Discusses Road Maintenance and Development Projects with Daccache, Abdel Massih, and Municipal Heads

Beirut: Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, on Monday continued his follow-up on development and service-related files, receiving MP Chawki Daccache along with a number of municipal heads, in the presence of Director General of Land and Maritime Transport Dr. Ahmad Tamer and Director of Roads and Buildings Engineer Pierre Maalouf.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting addressed road maintenance, infrastructure support, and accelerating the implementation of urgent municipal projects. Discussions also covered the issue of sand accumulation at Aaqeibeh Port, which is hindering the work of fishing boats, as well as the maintenance of the breakwater. Emphasis was placed on sustained coordination between the ministry and municipalities to ensure the smooth execution of works.

Minister Rasamny stressed that 'national responsibilities require addressing these files with the utmost seriousness, within the available resources,' underscoring the importance of an institutional approach and transparency in managing development efforts.

At the conclusion of the meeting, MP Daccache and the municipal heads praised the minister's responsiveness, affirming the continuation of partnership and cooperation in the interest of citizens. They described his practical policies in activating municipal and development work as 'a model to be emulated.'

Minister Rasamny also followed up with MP Adib Abdel Massih on regional development matters under the ministry's mandate, reaffirming 'full attention to meeting needs within the available capacities.'
