Baabda: The Council of Ministers convened in session at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Baabda Palace, presided over by President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, and attended by Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, and ministers.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, prior to the session, President Aoun and Prime Minister Salam held a private meeting to review the current general situation in the country and the most prominent developments.
The Council of Ministers will review a three-item agenda, most notably the draft law on financial order and the recovery of deposits. Additionally, the appointment of the Chairman and Director General of the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL) and its Board members will be discussed. The Cabinet will also deliberate on a draft agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Lebanese Republic concerning the promotion and protection of mutual investments. Urgent matters requiring appropriate decisions are also on the agenda.
