Beirut: Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, on Tuesday visited the Presidential Affairs Center at the National Council for Scientific Research, where he was briefed on technical tools for damage assessment using satellite imagery and artificial intelligence, as well as the development of a dashboard to monitor data daily during crises, including ports, roads, and vital facilities.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, discussions also covered infrastructure damage, particularly roads and public buildings, with emphasis on ongoing cooperation in assessment and response.
Rasamny later met MP Ibrahim Kanaan to review development and road projects in Metn, including works in Baskinta and the Wadi al-Jamajem road. He also received a delegation from Baskinta municipality to discuss local infrastructure needs.
