Rasamny Reviews Landslide Risks, Regional Development Needs

Beirut: Public Works and Transport Minister, Fayez Rasamny, on Friday met a delegation from the Higher Relief Commission and Khatib and Alami, in the presence of MP Raji Saad, to discuss landslides affecting several Lebanese areas and the technical measures needed to address damaged sites and protect public safety. Rasamny also met with South Governor, Mansour Daou, and with municipal officials to review needs in affected areas, particularly public works requirements.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Minister later welcomed MPs Ziad Hawat and Shawki Daccache, with whom he discussed development and service-related files linked to the ministry. The discussions highlighted the urgent need for technical interventions in landslide-prone regions and the importance of planning for future infrastructure projects to mitigate similar risks. The meetings underscored the commitment to advancing regional development while ensuring the safety of affected communities.
