Salam Dispatches Hajjar and Nassar to Tripoli for Urgent Inspections

Beirut: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam convened today an emergency meeting at his residence with Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar and Justice Minister Adel Nassar to follow up on the repercussions of the disaster that struck Tripoli. It was decided that both ministers would head to Tripoli to conduct on-ground inspections, oversee coordination among all apparatuses operating in the area, and communicate directly with local residents.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, it was also decided to hold an expanded meeting tomorrow, Tuesday afternoon, at the Grand Serail. This meeting will bring together the relevant ministers and bodies, in the presence of the Mayor of Tripoli and the Head of the Order of Engineers of the North, to follow up on the implementation of necessary measures to address the issue of structurally vulnerable buildings.
