Doha: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam met on Saturday with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Mitri, Ambassador Bilal Qabalan, and PM Bureau Director Farah Al-Khatib. During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani affirmed Qatar’s continued support for Lebanon, with a new package of support projects to be announced soon.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, PM Salam expressed his deep appreciation for Qatar’s role in supporting Lebanon, strengthening its stability, and bolstering its institutions. On the sidelines of the Doha Forum, Salam also met with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, to whom he extended an invitation to visit Lebanon. Both agreed to continue discussions in January regarding the possibility of a visit to Beirut next year.
