Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Thursday received former Prime Minister, Fouad Siniora, at the Grand Serail to discuss the latest political developments.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, following the meeting, Former Premier Siniora expressed his support for Premier Salam’s decision to restrict arms to the authority of the state. Siniora emphasized the importance of this move in maintaining state control over military resources.

Former Premier Siniora also condemned the actions of the Israeli chief of staff, who has been touring the south border. He urged Iran to respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and to cease actions that could pull Lebanon into untenable situations.
