Beirut: Social Affairs Minister Hanin El Sayed announced efforts to ensure readiness in the face of recent escalations, focusing on displacement and emergency response. In a post on platform X, El Sayed highlighted the ongoing coordination with various ministries, authorities, and the Disaster Risk Management Unit at the Prime Minister's Office, alongside local governorates, to effectively manage any arising needs.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, El Sayed emphasized the importance of protecting Lebanese citizens from continuous cycles of fear and displacement. She urged those in need of assistance to reach out to the governorate disaster management centers through designated contact numbers, which will be circulated shortly. The minister reiterated the government's commitment to readiness and the importance of stopping the current escalation to prevent further harm to Lebanon and its people.
