Tripoli:Acting North Lebanon Governor Iman Al-Rafei met with South Korean Ambassador Gyusok Geon to discuss potential economic and social development collaborations for Tripoli and the surrounding northern regions.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, Ambassador Geon expressed Seoul's commitment to supporting Lebanon through various initiatives. He highlighted the ELEVATE initiative, which includes eight projects specifically in North Lebanon, and discussed plans to enhance vocational training opportunities in the area.

Governor Al-Rafei emphasized the need for increased support in Tripoli and northern municipalities, particularly in terms of equipment for waste management and improvements in public services.

Both parties agreed to continue their coordination efforts and to explore new projects focused on improving livelihoods, generating employment, and fostering sustainable local development.
