Lebanon’s 2027 Budget Focuses on Health, Social Affairs, and Infrastructure

Beirut:Agriculture Minister Nizar Hani announced that the country's 2027 budget prioritizes health, social affairs, and infrastructure, with a focus on the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, Hani expressed hope that in future budgets, productive ministries would receive more substantial allocations. He acknowledged the financial strain caused by rising fuel prices on agriculture, industry, and other sectors.

Hani mentioned that the energy minister would propose a plan at the forthcoming Cabinet session, which includes discussions about a potential progressive fuel tax capped at LBP 300,000.

Regarding the agriculture sector, Hani revealed that the Agriculture Ministry has developed a roadmap to boost apple exports. The ministry is actively engaging with foreign agriculture ministers and importers to promote Lebanese produce.
