Beirut: Sheikh Akl of the Druze community Sami Abi Al Mona led a delegation representing Muslim and Christian religious leaders to meet Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and brief him on the outcomes of the recent Islamic-Christian Spiritual Summit held in Beirut.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the delegation presented the summit's final statement, emphasizing national unity, civil peace, dialogue, and joint efforts to help Lebanon overcome its current challenges. Abi Al Mona said discussions focused on preserving social stability, promoting moderation, and supporting initiatives aimed at saving the country amid ongoing regional tensions.
Berri was also briefed on the summit's deliberations and expressed openness to dialogue and solutions, Abi Al Mona reported.
Separately, the Druze leader received Salim Sayegh and officials from the Progressive Socialist Party, who praised the summit's outcomes and discussed efforts to maintain stability, support displaced families, and reinforce national cohesion.
