Tannourine: Tannourine Municipality expressed its "deep gratitude and appreciation" to President Joseph Aoun, Defense Minister Michel Menassa, the Civil Defense Directorate and its personnel, as well as all security and military forces that helped combat a fire near the Tannourine Cedar Forest Nature Reserve.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, the municipality stated that efforts succeeded in containing and extinguishing the blaze and preventing it from reaching the reserve, averting a major threat to what it described as a national environmental and natural heritage site.

The municipality also thanked local political, civil and community figures, Tannourine residents who assisted firefighting efforts, and media outlets and journalists who covered the blaze and highlighted its severity.

It praised the collective response to protect the reserve and Lebanon's forest and natural heritage, expressing hope for continued cooperation to safeguard Tannourine's environment and natural resources.
