Beirut: Tartus Governorate's security forces thwarted an attempt to smuggle weapons' shipment into Lebanese territory. SANA reported that Internal Security forces in Tartus Governorate, in cooperation with the General Intelligence Directorate, thwarted an attempt to smuggle a shipment of weapons and ammunition destined for Lebanon, as part of a joint security operation.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Internal Security forces stated that the operation resulted in seizing the entire shipment, which included automatic rifles and RPGs, as well as weapon caches and various types of ammunition that had been prepared for smuggling.
