Beirut: Tourism Minister, Laura Lahoud, on Friday said Lebanon cannot achieve tourism or economic recovery without security and stability, noting that recent conflicts have negatively affected the summer season.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, she said bookings remain limited, while many visitors are waiting for positive developments before traveling to Lebanon. Lahoud stressed the need for the state to assert full authority and monopoly over arms.

She also announced plans to digitize tourism data, highlighted enhanced inspections of tourism establishments, reminded businesses of the LBP 400,000 valet parking ceiling for restaurants, and urged the public to report violations via the ministry's 1735 hotline.
