Tripoli Special Economic Zone Chair Meets Beirut Port Director General to Explore Cooperation

Tripoli: Chairman of the Board of the Tripoli Special Economic Zone, Dr. Hassan Dnawi, on Friday visited Beirut Port Director General Marwan Al-Naffi as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation among Lebanon's key economic institutions.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, talks reportedly focused on prospects for collaboration between the two entities as the economic zone prepares to begin operations in earnest in the coming phase.

Dnawi outlined the logistical and investment capabilities available at the Tripoli zone, noting the strong backing it enjoys from the President of the Republic and the Council of Ministers, reflecting a drive to position the zone as a central pillar of Lebanon's economic recovery. He said cooperation with Beirut Port represents an important step toward national economic integration, boosting trade and reinforcing Lebanon's role as a regional economic hub.

In turn, Al-Naffi welcomed the initiative, stressing the importance of cooperation between public institutions, particularly between Beirut Port and the Tripoli Special Economic Zone, given Tripoli's promising potential.

Both sides described the meeting as constructive and agreed to continue coordination in the interest of the national economy.
