UAE Probes Flydubai Flight Incident in Saudi Arabia

Tabuk:United Arab Emirates: The UAE is investigating an incident involving Flydubai flight FZ1073, which was diverted from its route from Dubai to Tel Aviv and safely landed at Tabuk airport in Saudi Arabia.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, the UAE's Foreign Ministry announced that Prosecutor General Dr. Hamad Al Shamsi has established a specialized Public Prosecution team to look into the matter. This action follows a report from Flydubai about an altercation inside the cockpit that necessitated intervention by the airline's crew.

The investigation will assess the incident's circumstances and motives, including potential links to terrorist activities or any prior planning or direction. The UAE claims jurisdiction over the investigation as the aircraft is registered in the Emirates and operates under the UAE flag.

Additionally, the UAE expressed gratitude towards Saudi authorities for their cooperation and management of the situation. The public has been advised to wait for official updates and refrain from speculation until the investigation concludes.
