Beirut: US Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa reaffirmed Washington's support for Lebanon following a meeting with Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian. "The United States is committed to standing by Lebanon and supporting the achievement of its sovereignty, and our positions are closely aligned with those of the Grand Mufti," Issa said. He added that discussions focused on Lebanon's future and the importance of coexistence.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, the discussions between Ambassador Issa and Grand Mufti Derian emphasized the aspiration for Lebanon to maintain its safety and independence. Issa assured that the United States stands with the Lebanese people, highlighting the strong alignment of views with the Grand Mufti on the future direction of the country.
