Washington: The US military announced that it has bombed radar sites in Iran "in self-defense" after shooting down four Iranian drones that Washington said were threatening civilian shipping in the region. US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that US forces "shot down four drones (...) launched toward the Strait of Hormuz," which posed "a direct threat to regional maritime navigation."

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, US forces then targeted Iranian coastal surveillance radar sites at Goruk and Qeshm Island to prevent further attacks, emphasizing that "US forces remain vigilant and prepared to respond in legitimate self-defense to any unprovoked aggression by Iran."

In response, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that it had targeted "enemy bases" in the Gulf, highlighting the growing tension between the US and Iran in the region. The Revolutionary Guard's actions underscore the ongoing conflicts and the volatile situation affecting the Gulf area's security dynamics.
