Tehran: Iran's foreign ministry has declared that the US military presence in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries is more of a burden than a benefit. This statement was disseminated through the semi-official Tasnim news agency.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the foreign ministry's statement criticized the United States' claims of commitment to the security of GCC member states, labeling such assertions as "nothing more than rhetoric and a distortion of reality." The statement suggests that rather than ensuring security, the presence of US forces in the region imposes additional challenges for the countries involved.
