Vice PM Mitri and Australian Ambassador Visit State Security Director-General to Offer Condolences

Beirut: State Security Director-General, Major General Edgar Lawandos, on Monday received in his office Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Tarek Mitri, representing Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam, offering condolences on the martyrdom of 13 state security personnel who fell as a result of the Israeli attack that targeted the Nabatieh Sarail building.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Mitri wrote a message in the condolences register, expressing the "solidarity of the Prime Minister and the ministers with the State Security Directorate, which is carrying out its duty in these difficult circumstances," and praising "the dedication of the personnel who lost their lives while performing their national mission of protecting the country."

State Security Chief also received the Director General of General Security, Major General Hassan Choucair, leading a delegation from the General Security, to offer condolences on the martyrdom of the 13 State Security personnel.

Major General Lawandos also received Australian Ambassador to Lebanon, Tom Wilson, who came on an acquaintance visit and offered condolences for the State Security martyrs.

The visitors emphasized their "full support for the state security."
