Riyadh: During Sunday Mass at the Patriarchal See in Diman, Patriarch Bechara Al-Rahi called for a sovereign, independent, and just Lebanon, drawing on the Gospel's image of "good soil" that bears fruit. He stressed the importance of strengthening the state, upholding the rule of law and justice, and prioritizing national interest over personal and political agendas.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Al-Rahi expressed hope that ongoing negotiations concerning the South would protect Lebanon's rights, end violations, ensure the withdrawal from Lebanese territory, and restore security and stability. He emphasized the need for the Lebanese Army to remain the sole force responsible for protecting the country and for the state to regain its full role and sovereignty. This, he believes, would pave the way for reconstruction and a better future for Lebanon's youth.
