Al-Sharaa: Syria Working with Arab States to Promote Regional Stability, Limit Impact of Wars

Dubai: Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa affirmed that Syria is "open to everyone" and relies heavily on the support of Arab countries, saying Damascus has succeeded in building relations with multiple parties.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, speaking during a session titled "Syria of the Future" at the Arab Media Summit 2026 in Dubai, Al-Sharaa said Syria is working to promote stability across the region amid concerns over the potential expansion of ongoing wars.

He said Damascus is working with Arab countries to identify ways to mitigate the repercussions of war and avert potential future risks, acknowledging the scale of the challenges facing the country and stressing that Syria's policy is based on sustained efforts to serve the Syrian people.

Al-Sharaa expressed confidence that Syria would emerge as a strong country capable of achieving economic and scientific growth across all sectors while safeguarding the dignity and independence of its citizens.

Turning to the media, he described its mission as a "heavy responsibility" and called for credibility, reliable information and an approach free from politicization, given the media's significant influence on society.
