Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday received Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, at Baabda Presidential Palace, heading a delegation of senior officials and advisers. The meeting was also attended by Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the discussions between President Aoun and Ali Larijani focused on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring avenues for cooperation in various sectors. The presence of senior officials and advisers highlighted the significance of the meeting, emphasizing the importance both countries place on their diplomatic relations.
The visit of Ali Larijani comes at a time when regional stability and security are pivotal topics. The dialogue also underscored Lebanon’s role in fostering diplomatic engagements within the region. Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, acknowledged the historical ties between the two nations and expressed optimism about future cooperative initiatives.
