Riyadh: The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates have expressed their condemnation of Israel's rejection of US President Donald Trump's comprehensive plan for Gaza, which was backed by UN Security Council Resolution 2803. The ministers criticized Israel's refusal to accept the roadmap for implementing the plan and its rejection of establishing a Palestinian state.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the joint statement from these countries highlighted that Israel's position represents a direct rebuff to the comprehensive plan and poses a threat to its implementation. The ministers emphasized that this stance undermines collective efforts for achieving a just and lasting peace in the region.

The statement further declared that Israel now holds the responsibility for hindering peace efforts in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories. It noted that the rejection of the roadmap undermines President Trump's intensive efforts to end the Gaza conflict and establish conditions for lasting peace.

The foreign ministers stressed the importance of active US engagement to ensure Israel's compliance with the plan's commitments and to prevent further obstruction. They also stated that Israel bears full responsibility for any consequences of its continued rejection and non-compliance, including potential deterioration on the ground.

The ministers reiterated the urgent need for the plan's immediate implementation to address humanitarian issues, ensure security and stability in Gaza, and advance towards peace based on Palestinian self-determination. They called for the Peace Council's continued involvement and urged all parties to support the roadmap's implementation.

The joint statement also appealed to the Peace Council and the United States to take immediate measures to uphold the integrity of the plan and prevent any obstruction to its execution.
