Yarzeh: Lebanon’s Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal, on Tuesday, hosted several prominent figures at his Yarzeh office. Among the visitors was Belgian Ambassador to Lebanon, Arnout Pauwels, who was accompanied by the military attach©, Colonel Bart Demoncq, for discussions.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, General Haykal also met with the Lebanese Ambassador-designate to Morocco, Ali Daher. The discussions during these meetings were centered on the general situation in Lebanon and the surrounding region.

Later in the day, General Haykal welcomed the head of the Alawite Islamic Council, Sheikh Ali Qaddour, along with an accompanying delegation. The series of meetings continued with General Haykal receiving the Director General of Lebanon’s General Security, Major General Hassan Choucair. This was followed by a meeting with the Secretary General of the Higher Relief Committee, Brigadier General Bassam Al-Nabulsi. Various issues were discussed throughout these engagements, highlighting the ongoing dialogues between Lebanon’s military leadership and both domestic and international representatives.
