Brasilia: The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a press release condemning Israel’s recent attack on a residential area in Doha, the capital of Qatar. The attack, which took place on September 9, is described as a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and international law.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the Brazilian government has expressed solidarity with Qatar, stating that the attack could escalate tensions in the Middle East. The attack targeted members of the Hamas political leadership involved in ceasefire negotiations mediated by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States, potentially undermining these diplomatic efforts.

Brazil is urging all parties involved to exercise restraint and has called on the Israeli government to cease military actions in the region. The Brazilian government has reiterated its appeal for a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, including the withdrawal of Israeli forces and the cessation of military operations in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria. It has also called for the release of hostages and the lifting of restrictions on humanitarian aid.

The statement from Brazil emphasizes the importance of respecting United Nations resolutions, advocating for the end of the occupation of Palestinian territory.
