Beirut: The CMA CGM Foundation and d'Orient have launched a second humanitarian convoy to support the people of South Lebanon. This initiative delivered food supplies and personal care essentials to several hundred families in Deir Mimas and surrounding villages.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, more than 300 families benefited from the aid, aimed at addressing their immediate needs. The convoy underscores the ongoing commitment of the CMA CGM Foundation and d'Orient to assist communities affected by the ongoing crisis in South Lebanon.

The preparation and delivery of the shipments were facilitated by the voluntary efforts of CMA CGM Group employees in Lebanon. Their involvement was part of a skills-based volunteering program that encourages employees to contribute their time and expertise to solidarity-focused initiatives. This program is a testament to the collective effort put forth to ensure the successful delivery of aid.

The recent operation follows a similar initiative conducted on June 6, 2026, where a first convoy reached the village of Debel in South Lebanon. This earlier convoy, also supported by the CMA CGM Foundation, provided critical food and personal care supplies to communities severely impacted by the conflict.

The CMA CGM Foundation's commitment to supporting displaced and vulnerable communities in Lebanon is further highlighted by its Containers of Hope program. This program has facilitated various humanitarian efforts, including chartering an aircraft for delivering French aid, shipping Egyptian aid, transporting emergency aid with the European Union, deploying a mobile pharmacy with Caritas, and transporting World Food Program aid for vulnerable communities in Lebanon. These initiatives reflect the Foundation's long-term dedication to alleviating the hardships faced by affected populations in the region.
