Beirut: Enemy warplanes carried out an airstrike this morning targeting the old Husseiniya in the town of Doueir, completely destroying it. A condolence hall adjacent to the site was also destroyed, in addition to ground-level halls and rooms and a center affiliated with the Islamic Risala Scout Association. Grave sites and the martyrs’ cemetery sustained heavy damage, along with several vehicles parked nearby. One injury has been reported.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the airstrike resulted in the complete destruction of the Husseiniya, which was a significant location in the town. The adjacent condolence hall, used for gatherings, was also destroyed in the attack. The airstrike further impacted other structures, including ground-level halls and rooms, which were also reduced to rubble. Additionally, a center affiliated with the Islamic Risala Scout Association was among the heavily damaged facilities.
The attack led to considerable damage to grave sites and the martyrs’ cemetery, which are important to the local community. Several vehicles parked in the vicinity were also affected by the airstrike. Despite the extensive material damage, reports indicate that only one injury was sustained during the incident. Local authorities are assessing the full extent of the damage and are expected to release further information as the situation develops.
