Fadlallah: Priority Is South Liberation, Rejects Buffer Zone and Criticizes Authorities

Beirut: MP Hassan Fadlallah on Monday stated that the priority is "liberating the South from Israeli occupation, ensuring the return of residents, reconstruction, the release of prisoners, and protecting the region," emphasizing that this requires the mobilization of national efforts, "led by the resistance."

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Fadlallah rejected any Israeli buffer zone or a return to pre-March 2 conditions, asserting that "the occupation will not achieve its goals."

Fadlallah criticized Lebanese authorities' handling of negotiations, describing it as ineffective and disconnected from field realities, and warned against "concessions."

Moreover, the lawmaker called for adherence to the Taif Agreement, national unity, and strengthening Lebanon's position, urging authorities to "reverse course" and align with what he described as national priorities in confronting Israeli aggression.
