Foreign Minister Engages in Key Discussions with European Commission Vice President in Brussels

Brussels: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Raggi, on Monday engaged in discussions with European Commission Vice President Kaja Kallas, focusing on shared issues between Lebanon and the European Union.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Minister Raggi sought the European Union’s assistance in urging Israel to withdraw from five points and other occupied territories in southern Lebanon. Raggi emphasized the EU’s supportive role in the renewal of the UNIFIL peacekeeping force mandate.

The Lebanese Foreign Minister also communicated the Lebanese government’s stance on arms monopoly and confirmed the country’s progress with economic, financial, judicial, and administrative reforms. He highlighted the necessity of European Union support for Lebanon’s initiatives.

Additionally, Raggi outlined the Lebanese government’s strategy to address the issue of displaced Syrians, emphasizing the significance of their return to Syria.
