Beirut: Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmad Hajjar, on Thursday met with Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, at the ministry, where discussions touched on general developments and bilateral cooperation.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Ambassador Bukhari commended the efforts exerted by the Lebanese Ministry of Interior in combating drug smuggling, particularly attempts targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Minister Hajjar underscored that the fight against narcotics remains a national priority, aimed at safeguarding both Lebanese and Arab societies. He further highlighted the ongoing cooperation between Lebanese security agencies and their Saudi counterparts in addressing this critical issue.
