Iran: Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi affirmed that the Strait of Hormuz "will remain Iranian," in response to a statement by US President Donald Trump reported by AFP, in which he said he intends to declare the waterway part of US territory "soon."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Gharibabadi made his stance clear in a post on the X platform, asserting that the Strait of Hormuz "was, is, and will remain Iranian." He emphasized that the control over the waterway "will not be opened or closed except by order of Iran."
