Beirut: The Lebanese-American Coordination Committee voiced full support for Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, praising steps to restore state authority and sovereignty. In a statement issued simultaneously in Beirut and Washington, it condemned Hezbollah for defying state decisions and undermining institutions through threats and intimidation.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the committee backed the government's readiness for direct talks with Israel and called for a framework including a sustained ceasefire, disarmament of non-state actors, Israeli withdrawal, and full implementation of UN Resolution 1701.
It urged continued US and international support tied to measurable sovereignty reforms.
