Beirut: A series of significant parliamentary sessions and events unfolded today in Lebanon, focusing on legislative efforts and cultural collaborations. The parliamentary committee sessions commenced at 10:00 AM, led by MP Michel Moussa, targeting the draft law regulating the Lebanese Red Cross and the use and protection of its emblem. This session took place at the Parliament Offices Building, specifically in the Human Rights Committee Hall.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, a plenary session was subsequently held at 11:00 AM. Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri spearheaded this gathering to deliberate on the government’s general policies, aligning with Articles 136 and 137 of the Rules of Procedure. Concurrently, a project launch ceremony for managing forest fire risks in vulnerable natural areas was conducted at the Grand Serail.
At noon, a joint press conference was held by Culture Minister Ghassan Salameh and Maestro Abdel Halim Caracalla. The conference focused on the Caracalla Theater’s upcoming performance of “One Thousand and One Nights” at the Bolshoi Theater in Russia. This event took place at the National Library in Sanayeh.
Simultaneously, the American University of Beirut hosted a symposium titled “Governance and Vision 2030 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.” This event was organized by the Observatory of Good Governance and Citizenship on the B1 floor of the University’s College Hall building.
Later in the day, at 5:30 PM, the Municipal Forum convened a meeting at the Leftist Action Organization headquarters in Beirut. The aim was to develop a supportive plan for municipal work across Lebanon. Finally, at 6:30 PM, a dialogue session with Justice Minister Adel Nassar was held at the National Bloc headquarters in Gemmayzeh.
