Beirut: Lebanon’s Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmed Al-Hajjar, on Monday received Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, at the ministry in Beirut. Sheikh Al-Sabah’s visit marks a significant step in strengthening the collaboration between Lebanon and Kuwait in security matters.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Sheikh Al-Sabah was greeted with an official welcome ceremony upon his arrival at the Ministry of Interior. The purpose of this visit was to engage in discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two nations, with a specific focus on security and the exchange of expertise.
The initial bilateral meeting between the ministers set the stage for further discussions, followed by an expanded session that included Lebanese and Kuwaiti security and administrative delegations. During these meetings, both parties delved into dossiers of mutual interest, exploring ways to bolster their collaborative efforts in addressing shared security concerns.
