Lebanon’s Speaker of Parliament Mourns Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei


Beirut: Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri mourned the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In a statement, Berri praised Khamenei as a devout leader and a scion of the Prophet’s family who dedicated his life to faith, resistance, and justice.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Berri described Khamenei as a steadfast defender of truth against oppression, embodying the enduring principles of the Muhammadi and Hussainiya traditions. Berri extended his condolences to the Iranian people, Islamic religious authorities, and the global community of freedom-loving nations.



He honored Khamenei as a sincere and steadfast leader whose lifelong commitment to God and justice culminated in “the noblest form of martyrdom,” inspiring strength and pride in the Muslim community. Concluding his statement, Berri offered his sympathies to Khamenei’s family, followers, and the Iranian leadership.



He prayed that the late Supreme Leader be granted mercy and a place among the righteous, martyrs, and companions of God in paradise.
