Beirut: The Ministry of Public Works and Transport, in cooperation with Middle East Airlines – Air Liban (MEA), has completed the full lighting of the airport tunnels (Cocodile-Khaldeh) as part of the ‘Lebanon on Track’ initiative. This initiative is focused on rehabilitating and maintaining roads, bridges, and tunnels across the country.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the project encompassed the lighting of four tunnels in both directions-two toward Khaldeh and two toward Beirut. This enhancement aims to improve road safety by providing clearer visibility for drivers, especially during nighttime and under adverse weather conditions.
This accomplishment highlights the Ministry’s dedication to upgrading Lebanon’s essential infrastructure. It marks a significant step toward improving the capital’s gateways, alleviating congestion, and ensuring smoother traffic flow along one of the country’s primary routes. The project is anticipated to have a direct positive impact on public safety and mobility.
